This service through Catholic Charities provides shelter for 16 single women and 26 families. Services include temporary and emergency lodging, meals, assistance with housing, employment and children's educational placement, case management and referrals. While living in the shelter, program residents work with case managers to improve their earning capacity and obtain permanent housing.

Residential transitional living programs for eleven males and eleven females, ages 16 to 21 who continue to need support services as they “age out” of the foster care system. While they are in residence, they attend school and hold a part-time job. They also learn independent-living skills such as food preparation, financial literacy, finding housing and employment – tools to equip them to live independently when they leave.

Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) provides case management services to people with mental illness who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness. The program works with Somerset County residents and links them to mental health, entitlements, and housing.

Through Somerset County Office on Aging & Disability Services: assists those with permanent physical disabilities maintain their highest level of independence while remaining active in the community. Services for runaway and abused youth, focus on housing, life skills, and crisis intervention. Includes Passages program (transitional housing) for youth aging out of the foster care system or maturing.

Eligibility: Apartments are available to homeless or formerly homeless individuals who can provide verification of a disability. Income requirements include a minimum income of $17,400 and a maximum of $32,200 for the single occupancy apartments and a minimum of $22,000 and a maximum of $32,000 for the studio apartments.
