“Tax-smart” Giving Vehicles
Many of our supporters choose to give in ways that are more tax-efficient than a direct cash gift. Options include transferring appreciated stock, making a grant through a Donor Advised Fund (DAF), or making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from an IRA for supporters who are 70½ or older.
Stock Transfers: You may transfer appreciated stock directly to Safe + Sound Somerset. Please contact us for our brokerage account details.
Donor Advised Funds: You can recommend a grant to Safe + Sound Somerset through your DAF provider. We are also set up with DAF Direct, which allows you to make a grant directly from Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, or BNY Mellon. Please contact us for our mailing address and EIN.
