Please note that Safe+Sound Somerset cannot vouch for any of these resources. Agape House
Agape House provides emergency shelter for homeless families with children, single men and single women. Clients can stay at the shelter as long as it takes for them to get back on their feet. ART Center at Visions and Pathways
The Arman Roy Technology Center (ART Center) at Brahma possesses a 25-person seating capacity. The ART Center functions both as the centerpiece of Visions and Pathways STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) program, and as academic resource room where residents can get help with schoolwork. The ART Center features a Smart Board, classroom desks, a 3D printer, and desktops at computer banks for residential use. When completed, it will also feature electronic gaming and Virtual Reality headsets. Ultimately, V&P desires to expand and offer services to the greater community.

Department of Child Protection and Permanency (DCPP – Somerset County)
After a report of child abuse or neglect is filed, DCP&P sends a case worker to the child's home to initiate the investigation. The case worker gathers information by speaking to you and members of your household. Case workers can also assist with basic needs, child and baby items, etc. *Every adult in NJ is a mandatory reporter. Early Intervention Support Services (EISS) – Somerset County
Early Intervention Support Services (EISS), funded by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and available in all counties, is a short term, mental health service for adults who are experiencing significant emotional or psychiatric distress and are in need of immediate intervention. EISS offers crisis intervention and crisis stabilization services in a setting that is an alternative to hospital based emergency room treatment. Outreach (non-office based) services are available. While appointments are not required for initial visits, we strongly recommend contacting the provider in advance to ensure the best possible experience.

Free service - nurses will conduct home visits to support parents. They will assess the health of both the parents and the newborn and offer valuable information during this important transition. Covered areas can include feeding and sleeping tips, connecting parents to helpful resources in their community, or assisting families recovering from the tragedy of stillbirth. Services are available to birth, adoptive, and resource families with a newborn as well as parents experiencing a stillbirth or loss of their newborn.

Pathways to Community Counseling (PCC) at Visions and Pathways
