Free clinics for Somerset County residents that provide well baby check-ups and immunizations for babies, toddlers, and children who attend school 18 and under. Families without health insurance can access this service. Check website for town restrictions.

Connecting families to childcare resources and parent education. Also offers: free child developmental screenings, interactive events including virtual parent cafes, and more. Community Child Care Solution’s Somerville office distributes free diapers to Somerset County residents on the first Monday of every month. Diapers are on a first come, first serve basis. Please fill out the form on the website (English or Spanish) or come into the office.

Program for: Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, and Somerset County families. Links pregnant people, parents, and caregivers with young children to free or low-cost family wellness resources (health insurance, doulas, medical providers and care, housing, child care, early childhood programs, home visits, etc.). Organization also has a wide range of services (including Monmouth and Ocean counties).

Free service - nurses will conduct home visits to support parents. They will assess the health of both the parents and the newborn and offer valuable information during this important transition. Covered areas can include feeding and sleeping tips, connecting parents to helpful resources in their community, or assisting families recovering from the tragedy of stillbirth. Services are available to birth, adoptive, and resource families with a newborn as well as parents experiencing a stillbirth or loss of their newborn.

Free program offering at-home visit by specially trained nurses for any family caring for a newborn baby. Assistance with physical and emotional health of newborn and parents. Available to birth, adoptive, and resource families with newborns as well as those experiences stillbirth or loss. Will be for all NJ families - currently open to Essex, Middlesex, Mercer, Cumbersland, and Gloucester counties (as of Jan. 2024).

Multiple locations across northeastern NJ and one outpatient location in Toms River. Treatment for substance use including outpatient, inpatient, and supportive housing

Providing low income families with essential baby items - especially diapers.

Parents can apply - provides food for women, infants and children up to age 5 with additional supportive health services.

Promotes the social well-being and strengthening of children, families, and communities. Includes: Family Success Centers, Family Support Organizations, Grandparents and Relatives Raising Children (Kinship Navigator), Parent Anonymous, Statewide Parent Advocacy Network.
