The Resource Directory is a partial list of the resources available in our community, and is meant to be a starting point to help you identify services and providers. Please note that Safe+Sound Somerset cannot vouch for any of these resources. Search websites, ask for recommendations from friends and peers, and call or email a potential service provider to decide whether or not something is the right fit for you.

Multifaith organization, serving houseless families with emergency shelter, transitional homes, counseling, and more services. Partners with local congregations.
HOPES Community Action Partnership, Inc.
Variety of community services for 3 counties including Somerset. Free assistance for income-eligible residents. Health enrollment insurance, senior benefits enrollment, computer lab, info and assistance, language translation services, health screenings and referrals, energy and water payment assistance, discount cell phone program (SafeLink), childcare.

Laundry Love with St. John’s Episcopal Church
A representative of the ministry is at the laundromat to hand out pre-bagged supplies and $10 in quarters up to eight people per week. Supplies of laundry detergent and dryer sheets, as well as rolls of quarters, are welcomed!
Meals-to-go at St. John’s Episcopal Church
We serve families in need as well as people who have a current need due to illness, caregiving, family changes (loss of a loved one, arrival of a newborn) to come and pick up a meal to take home. Meals are provided in plastic containers generously donated by the Branchburg Rotary and the menu changes weekly.

Shelter Our Pets
All-volunteer nonprofit corporation serving New Jersey and beyond (not a physical facility or shelter). If an animal is accepted into the Shelter Our Pets foster program, the animal(s) will be matched with a temporary, confidential foster parent, area kennel or other care provider. Somerset County Resident ID Cards Application
Somerset County residents can obtain a photo ID from the County Clerk's office. This ID card is available to Somerset County residents, regardless of age. This card is NOT REAL ID compliant. However, residents might find it useful as a supplemental photo identification. Need proof of identity and proof of residency (see website).
