The Resource Directory is a partial list of the resources available in our community, and is meant to be a starting point to help you identify services and providers. Please note that Safe+Sound Somerset cannot vouch for any of these resources. Search websites, ask for recommendations from friends and peers, and call or email a potential service provider to decide whether or not something is the right fit for you.

Also providing traumatic incident debriefing. Living rooms have reopened, available Tuesday through Saturday, 12-8pm and Sunday & Monday, by appointment only

Family Crisis Intervention Unit
Crisis intervention services for children and families in crisis. Office hours: 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. FCIU serves children and families who are in crisis as a result of any or all of the following: juvenile-family conflicts, serious threat to the well-being and physical safety of a juvenile, runaway behavior, youth involved in human trafficking, or youth who are truant from school.

Rutgers Early Intervention Support Services (EISS) – Somerset County
EISS is a short-term, intensive treatment model designed to help stabilize consumers who are at risk for needing Psychiatric Screening and/or In-Patient Psychiatric Services. EISS provides a professional and proven alternative to Emergency Department visits and InPatient Psychiatric Admissions. Monday - Thursday, 9am - 7pm Friday - Sunday, 9am - 5pm EISS provides services to residents of Somerset County who are: 18 years of age and older; Currently suffering from acute mental health symptoms; Able to be safely served in an outpatient setting; NOT enrolled in PACT or RIST

Take It Down
This service is one step you can take to help remove online nude, partially nude, or sexually explicit photos and videos taken before you were 18 (minors). You can remain anonymous while using the service and you won’t have to send your images or videos to anyone. Service provided by National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The Network/La Red Helpline
Survivor-led organization to end partner abuse. Provides confidential emotional support, information, referrals, safety planning, and crisis intervention for lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer and/or transgender (LGBTQ+) folks, as well as folks in kink and polyamorous communities who are being abused or have been abused by a partner.
The Peer Recovery WarmLine – Mental Health Association of NJ
Peer-run hotline for individuals experiencing mental health issues. Answered by caring, trained people with lived experience with mental illness who are in recovery.
