The Resource Directory is a partial list of the resources available in our community, and is meant to be a starting point to help you identify services and providers. Please note that Safe+Sound Somerset cannot vouch for any of these resources. Search websites, ask for recommendations from friends and peers, and call or email a potential service provider to decide whether or not something is the right fit for you.

Bridgeway Psychiatric Emergency Screening Services (PESS)
For Somerset County residents - mobile mental health urgent care, crisis intervention, and stabilization services. For those experiencing acute psychiatric distress. Also providing traumatic incident debriefing. Living rooms have reopened, available Tuesday through Saturday, 12-8pm and Sunday & Monday, by appointment only

CyberTipline – reporting online child exploitation
Place you can report a child being sexually exploited online. Staff at the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children review each tip and work to find a potential location for the incident reported so that it may be made available to the appropriate law-enforcement agency for possible investigation.
Disaster Distress Helpline by SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration)
Crisis counseling for people in emotional distress related to any natural or human-caused disaster

Legal Services of New Jersey Hotline
Confidential hotline that provides legal advice, information, and referral to low-income NJ residents in civil legal matters.
LGBT National Senior Hotline
Confidential safe space where seniors can speak about their unique issues concerning sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. This includes coming out issues, family dynamics, relationship concerns, elder abuse, HIV/AIDS anxiety, safer sex information, suicide, and much more. Everyone who offers support at the LGBT National Help Center identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
