Most women and children enter the Safe House with only the clothes on their backs.
Safe+Sound Somerset provides new bedding, toiletries and basic needs from the moment they walk through the doors until they leave.
Consider donation items from this list to provide the basic necessities they need during their stay.
During the holiday season, Safe+Sound Somerset creates a Holiday Store with the help of the community. The Holiday Store provides survivors and their children an opportunity to choose items to exchange with each other. Smiles of gratitude fill the faces of the parents as they choose the gifts for their children. Likewise, the youth are so excited to “shop” for their families in the Holiday Store!
We ask that all items are new, unwrapped and nonviolent in theme. Please consider that holiday gifts are provided to people of all cultural and religious backgrounds.
Holiday paper, tape, ribbon and gift bag donations are also welcome.
